Video shows Tata Safari Jet Edition inside out

Tata Motors launched the Jet edition for their Nexon, Harrier and Safari in the market. The manufacturing for the Jet Edition SUVs have already started and it has started arriving at the dealership as well. There are some changes to the car when compared to the regular versions. Videos of Jet Edition SUVs from Tata Motors have started surfacing online. The cars have started reaching dealerships and here we have a video that shows what all is different in the Jet edition version of Tata Safari SUV.

The video has been uploaded by Desi Car World on their YouTube channel. Tata has launched the new Jet Edition versions now to make the festive season bit more interesting for the manufacturer. It comes with some changes and new features that are specific to this version and the vlogger talks about all that in this video. He starts with the front-end of the car. The front grille on the Safari has been completely blacked out including the tri-arrow elements in the grille. The chrome humanity line is still there.

The headlamps and the fog lamps are all the same. Thebumper also gets a silver coloured skid plate. The main attraction on this version of Safari is the paint itself. The car is finished in dual-tone shade of Earthy Bronze and Platinum. This gives the SUV a very different look from the regular versions. Just like other editions, Jet edition also gets a badge on the fender. There are no changes in terms of design and the roof rails and the ORVMs are finished in black for a contrasting look. The alloy wheel design remains the same but, it is now finished in jet black for premium look. At the rear, there are split tail lamps,  Safari branding on the tail gate and silver colour skid plates and faux exhaust tips can be seen.

Moving in, the theme of the cabin has been changed to give it a premium look. The car offers a plastic trim on the door and dashboard that matches with the exterior colour. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather and it comes with cruise control and buttons to control the infotainment system. The touchscreen infotainment system is the same as regular version but, it comes with air purifier system. The front seats get ventialted seats and the rear passengers have extra cushioning on the headrest which looks similar to what we have seen in the seats of many aircraft.

The front seats get Jet embroidery on the hearest and the cabin looks very airy because of the light coloured leather material on it. In terms of engine and transmission options, Safari is still powered by the same 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine which is sourced from Fiat. The engine generates 170 Ps and 350 Nm of peak torque. It is available with both manual and 6-speed automatic transmission. The Jet edition SUV is based on the top-end XZ+ trim and price for the same starts at Rs 21.35 lakh, ex-showroom and go up to Rs 22.75 lakh, ex-showroom.
